Where is Iceland?

 

Iceland the westernmost country in Europe and is home to the world's most northern capital city, Reykjavik. Iceland lies between Europe and North America, and is located just below the Arctic Circle. From London, Iceland is the same distance as Athens. It is also the same distance from New York to Iceland as from New York to Los Angeles.

How Cold is it?

Despite the name, Iceland isn't always cold. Average temperatures in the summer are 12°C. This isn't the place to come if you are looking to sun tan on a beach, even though our black sand beaches in the south are one of the most popular places to visit!
